Union Minister for Rural Development Gopinath Munde, who was on his way to the Delhi airport, died Tuesday morning following a car accident. The following is the sequence of events leading to his death.
6 a.m. - Munde starts from his house to reach the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
6.20 a.m. - Munde's Maruti Suzuki SX4 car hit by a Tata Indica at Aurobindo Marg in south Delhi on the side where he was seated.
6.26 a.m. - Indica driver telephones police control room (PCR) about the accident.
6.30 a.m. - Munde taken to the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
6.35 a.m. - Munde's security personnel hand over the Indica driver to Delhi Police

7.20 a.m. - The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader declared dead at AIIMS.
12.30 p.m. - Munde's post-mortem examination completed.
12.41 p.m. - Munde's body taken from AIIMS to the BJP headquarters.
4 p.m. - Union cabinet meets to condole his death.
