The central government on Tuesday launched a manual that focuses on capacity building to ensure that dignity is restored to all who are "socially excluded", an official statement said.

The National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) in association with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and CARE India launched the "Manual and Tool Kit on Social Inclusion", which seeks to show as to how through these modules and implementable tools, the socially excluded will be easily identified and their inclusion into social structures and fabrics become seamless and smoother, it said.

"The manual and tool kit will primarily be used to train the day NRLM workers to ensure that the marginalised sections of society are integrated in a consistent manner.

"The manual methodically presented how to identify the socially excluded disadvantaged groups and how to educate them about their rights and entitlements," said the NRLM statement.
