RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday claimed the grand alliance of the JD-U, RJD and the Congress will achieve a "great victory" in the Bihar assembly polls and form the next government under Nitish Kumar.
"We are confident and sure of a great victory of the grand alliance in the Bihar assembly polls. There are no ifs and buts...," Lalu Prasad said at a press conference after the end of campaigning for the fifth and final phase of polls.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal chief said he was upbeat and happy after the over-a-month-long hectic campaign, and that the hard work of the grand alliance succeeded.
"The next government will be formed by the grand alliance and Nitish Kumar will be the chief minister," he said.
Lalu Prasad said the assembly polls outcome will send a positive message across the country and it will prove costly for the BJP-led NDA government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The former chief minister assured the people that he along with Nitish Kumar will work for the development of Bihar and there will be no discrimination on the basis of caste and creed. "We will work to develop Bihar as per their dreams," he said.
