People view similar things with varied perceptions. Based on this thought process, a group exhibition using themes as diverse as day-to-day items, mystery and women will be on display in the capital from Sep 5, organisers said Wednesday.
The exhibition titled "Perception: A different Way of Thinking" will be mounted at Lalit Kala Akademi where 10 artists will use various mediums to project how one object can be perceived in a variety of ways.
"All the works displayed are different from each other. They don't have any resemblance in medium or technique," the curator, Gulistaan, told IANS.
These artists had to go through a selection process where they presented their best works. For this exhibition, they had to prepare fresh works.
But unlike other exhibitions where a theme binds the work together, Gulistaan pointed out no such rule was followed here.
"My work revolves around women, whereas for another artist it is everyday mundane items. A well known photographer has experimented with the idea of mystery," she said.

The exhibition ends Sep 11.
