Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has backed his side saying the players gave an outstanding performance and he is happy after clinching only one point from the draw against Burnley on Saturday.
The Manchester club were denied a victory after midfielder Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson Gudmundsson scored an equaliser in the 81st minute for Burnley through a half-volley.
For Manchester City, Brazilian Danilo (22nd) had provided the lead in the first-half.
"Playing in the Premier League, especially away, in the last 10 minutes with the score at 1-0, anything can happen," Guardiola was quoted saying by Manchester City website.
"But we gave, in general, an outstanding performance. We are happy for the performance.
"We played good. Maybe people don't realise, but the way we played was outstanding," Guardiola added.
