Peru international striker Paolo Guerrero vowed "to fight for a title" with his new club after he was officially named a Flamengo player.
The former Bayern Munich forward was presented to local media on Tuesday more than six weeks after agreeing to join the Rio de Janeiro club from Corinthians, reported Xinhua news agency.
His arrival comes days after he led Peru to the third place in the Copa America in Chile, where he was the tournament's equal leading goalscorer with four goals.
"I'm very happy to be at a club of this size," the 31-year-old said. "I will give all that I've got for the team to improve and achieve something important."
Five-time Brazilian Serie A champions Flamengo are currently 15th in the league standings with just three wins from 10 matches.
Guerrero is expected to make his Flamengo debut in Wednesday's match against Internacional in Porto Alegre.
