The Haryana government on Friday launched brand 'Haryana Fresh' to help farmers of the state to sell their farm produce directly.
The brand was launched by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during a three-day Agri Leadership Summit which commenced here on Friday.
The summit will help people to buy farm fresh vegetables and organic food grains directly from the farmers.
The chief minister, on this occasion, said the brand has been registered in the name of Haryana farmers.
Khattar said farmers, who think their farm produce is of quality and worth selling in the market with the brand name Haryana Fresh, would be able to apply to the designated officer.
A team of officers will visit their farm and if the team finds the produce of quality, such a farmer would be able to sell his produce with the brand name 'Haryana Fresh'.

The idea is to enable the farmers to sell their farm produce directly to the consumers and promote their marketing, he added.
The chief minister also interacted with the entrepreneurs engaged in the agri-products business and farm produce exporters.
Haryana Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar said the summit has leaders from the agriculture sector whose produce is being displayed at the summit.
The minister said about 6,000 milk producers are participating in the summit.
An official said representatives from 15 countries including Bhutan, Nepal, Australia, Germany, Zambia, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Belarus, Luxemburg, the US and Israel are expected to visit the summit.
An exhibition of farm inputs and outputs (produce) is also being organised during the summit.
