The acting chief of Gurugram's Sadar Police Station was found shot dead in his office on Saturday under mysterious circumstances.
Earlier it was stated that officer Kuldeep Kumar committed suicide but a top cop denied the suicide theory.
Additional chief of Sadar Police Station Kuldeep Kumar, who was currently acting chief as regular SHO Vijay Kumar was on leave, had reached the police station in a routine manner.
According to the staff there, he was looking happy and met his juniors normally.
The policemen posted at the Sadar Police station heard a gun shot around 1.35 p.m. and found Kumar lying in a pool of blood in the room.
Earlier it was believed that he committed suicide but later in the day, Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said that it could not be stated that it was suicide without a proper investigation.

"This is to clarify that Inspector Kuldeep's death cannot as of now be categorised as a suicide. This will need investigation before a conclusive finding is arrived at," Khirwar said.
