An Iraqi army helicopter crashed in a desert area outside Abu Ghraib city, killing all three crew members on board, Xinhua reported Sunday.
The helicopter encountered technical problems when it was above an area where the army was engaged in battles with anti-government tribal fighters and some militant groups in Anbar province Saturday.
The Iraqi government declared a 72-hour ceasefire in the militant-held Fallujah city Saturday, giving a chance to Al Qaeda fighters to peacefully clear the city.
