Dairy products and retail major Heritage Foods on Monday reported an exponential rise of 216 percent in its net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal.
The company said its net profit stood at Rs.15.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30, from Rs.4.83 crore.
According to a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's total income increased by 14.53 percent to Rs.586.83 crore for the quarter under review from Rs.512.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The company's scrip at the BSE rose 12.18 percent at Rs.457.70 from its previous close of Rs.408 per equity share.
