Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp Thursday reported a 58.62 percent increase in its second quarter net profit which stood at Rs.763 crore from Rs.481 crore in the corresponding quarter of the 2013-14.
The company's turnover which includes proceeds from net sales and other operating income rose by 20.76 percent to Rs.6,915 crore from Rs.5,726 crore reported in the second quarter of last fiscal.
The firm's EBIDTA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) margin stood at 13.52 percent for the second quarter. Sales during the quarter under review stood at 1,692,523 units from an off-take of 1,416,276 units during the corresponding period of last year.
The two-wheeler major also reported a 28.73 percent increase in its half-yearly net profit which stood at Rs.1,326 crore from Rs.1,030 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
The company's turnover which includes proceeds from net sales and other operating income rose by 17.38 percent to Rs.13,952 crore from Rs.11,886 crore reported in the first half of 2013-14.
The firm's EBIDTA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) margin stood at 13.49 percent during the first half of 2014-15.
Sales during this period grew by 14.52 percent and stood at 3,407,777 units from an off-take of 2,975,558 units during the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
