Global hospitality major Hilton Worldwide Thursday opened a niche upscale hotel, "DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Bangalore", in the tech hub here.
"Our hotel offers a range of studios and suites which are purpose-built to meet every guest's needs from transient business travellers to long-stay guests," Hilton global head John Greenleaf said on the occasion.
Located strategically in the city's southeast suburb, home to several IT firms, commercial and business hubs, entertainment and shopping centres, the hotel is built by leading realty firm Mantri Developers Ltd.
"The hotel marks a milestone in our growth in India which is a key strategic market for us," Greenleaf noted.
With 172 rooms, including studios and one-to-three-bedroom suites, the hotel offers distinct living, dining and work areas besides a well-equipped kitchenette and a private balcony.
"The guest accommodation is complemented by a host of facilities, including a 24-hour business centre, a conference hall and a 24-hour fitness centre offering cardiovascular and strength-training equipment," Greenleaf said.

Guests can also avail complimentary Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) internet access.
The hotel also offers a range of dining options to suit every taste, including "Asia Alive", an all-day restaurant that serves the best of pan-Asian fare; "Equinox", a relaxed, trendy lounge bar with wines and light bites and an all-day cafe with fresh bakeries and beverages.
The 95-year old US-based hospitality group manages and franchises hotels and resorts in Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Vadodara.
