The Himachal Pradesh assembly was adjourned sine die on Thursday by Speaker B.B.L. Butail.
This came about after Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh chanted 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' (Glory to Mother India), with others on the treasury benches also following him.
During the budget session spanning over a month, with a nine-day break in between, the assembly had 25 sittings during which 701 starred and 241 un-starred questions were asked.
Butail said 11 bills were passed in the session.
After the playing of national song 'Vande Mataram' had ended, the chief minister stood up and chanted 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', apart from saying 'Himachal Pradesh zindabad'.
Members from the treasury benches too raised the slogans after Virbhadra Singh even as the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party members were mocking them.
Thereafter, Butail declared that the house was adjourned.
