The second cabinet expansion of the nearly three-year-old Congress government in Himachal Pradesh will take place in the state capital on Thursday, with the likely induction of former minister Karan Singh, an official said.
Karan Singh is a legislator from Banjar in Kullu district.
With his induction, the strength of the cabinet, including Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, would go up to 12 - the maximum sanctioned strength.
The last expansion took place on March 2, 2013, when former union communications minister Sukh Ram's son Anil Sharma was inducted as a minister.
