Chandigarh fought back after being a goal down to force a 2-2 draw with Tamil Nadu in a Group F league match of the third Hockey India senior men's national championship here Saturday.
A 22nd minute penalty corner conversion by Vinod Rayer put Tamil Nadu ahead, but Lovedeep Singh struck the equalizer in the 29th. In the second-half, TN regained the lead with Rayer scoring his second goal, but Chandigarh stepped up the pressure to equalize in the 60th through Ravinder Singh.
Meanwhile, Services Sports Control Board fired 28 goals without reply against Goans Hockey in a Group C match with Sanwar Ali netting seven. Also scoring were AP Siraju (5), Lovepreet Singh (4), Ved Prakash (3), Igance Tirkey (2), K Hera Singh (2) and S Arumugam (2) while Rajesh Kumar and Johnny Jasrotia completed the tally with one apiece.
In a Group F match, Namdhari XI notched up a 8-2 win over Sashastra Seema Bal for their second success while in Group B, Chhatisgarh Hockey beat Tripura 7-3.
