Bundesliga football club Hoffenheim and goalkeeper Tim Wiese have mutually agreed to part ways.

Former German international goalkeeper Wiese hasn't lived up to Hoffenheim's expectations after joining the club from Bremen in 2012, reports Xinhua.

Due to his poor performances he was relegated to the second team. However, the goalkeeper decided not to leave the club but to sit out his contract until June 2016.

"We tried to find reasonable solution for all parties. Now we are very relieved that were able to find an adequate solution for both sides," chairman of Hoffenheim's management Peter Rettig told the club's official homepage Tuesday.

Wiese made just ten appearances in two years at Hoffenheim meanwhile he played 194 matches in seven years at Bremen.

"After a tough time for me and my family it is time to look ahead and to consider my future calmly," Wiese said.

Hoffenheim occupy 12th position with 18 points, just four points away from a relegation play-off spot.
