The 30-year-old striker started his professional career at Bayern Munich before he joined a number of Bundesliga clubs, among them Werder Bremen, Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim.

"With Sandro Wagnger another Germany international joins Bayern. We are confident that Sandro Wagnger will further increase the quality of our team through his class and experience," Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said.

Wagner's performances at Hoffenheim, where he scored 15 goals in 42 appearances, earned him his first call up for Germany's national team in June 2017. He made ever since seven caps and provided five goals.
