After the unbelievable last minute win over Borussia Dortmund in the last round of Bundesliga, Hoffenheim took another big step towards another season in German football's first division when they defeated Kaiserslautern Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Kaiserslautern finished third in the second division behind already promoted Braunschweig and Berlin.
The second leg is scheduled for Monday in Kaiserslautern.
