Hope to take forward China, India strategic ties: Xi

Chinese President Xi Jinping Thursday said that he was looking forward to take India, China "strategic relationship" forward.

Xi said that China and India are the world's two largest developing countries and have emerging markets.

On a three-day sojourn to India, Xi said that he hopes to talk to the Indian leadership to take this "strategic relationship" forward.

The Chinese president arrived in Ahmedabad Wednesday and then flew down to the national capital the same night. He will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House during the day. He flies out Friday.
