To boost industrial activity in Haryana, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) on Friday announced that the mandatory condition of getting building plans approved for setting up industry has been done away with.

"Giving a major relief to the allottees and industrialist in the estates of HSIIDC, the approval of building plans of industrial plots will not be required now," HSIIDC managing director Sudhir Rajpal said.

Rajpal said that in future, the allottees will not be required to seek any approval from the office of town planners of HSIIDC before starting construction of their building.

"Building plans must be prepared by the allottee/industrialist from any empanelled architect with HSIIDC before starting any construction activity on the plot. The building plans must be as per the Haryana Building Code-2017, as well as the approved zoning plan of the plot," Rajpal said.

"A copy of the building plans duly certified by the empanelled architect must be filed by the allottee in the concerned field office of HSIIDC before start of construction activity. No separate approval is thereafter, required to be issued by the HSIIDC," he said.

He added that this was being done to improve the government's interface and make things more streamlined and transparent.
