A man killed her wife in east Delhi over her suspected illicit relations, slashed his wrists in a bid to take his own life, but later walked into a police station to report the crime, police said on Monday.
Labourer Heera Lal, 32, was arrested after he was discharged from a hospital on Sunday.
On Friday night, Lal approached Karawal Nagar police station and told police that he had killed his wife, aged 28, at his home in Karawal Nagar and tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists.
Police rushed to the scene and found his wife lying dead in bed.
The couple's three children -- aged between 3 and 9 -- were found lying in bed too but they were unaware of the crime, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajit Kumar Singla said.
Six shaving blades used by Lal to slit his wrists and three empty bottles of a mosquito repellent were seized.
