Car-maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday said it rolled out its seven millionth car out of its plant near here.
The milestone model was a white Cretaa AT and the magic number was reached within 18 years of starting commercial production, the company said in a statement here.
HMIL rolled out its first millionth car, a Santro, in 2006, eight years after commencement of commercial production in 1998.
Thereafter, production picked up momentum, with the next million milestone having been achieved within an average of 18-19 months. The five millionth car was flagged off in October 2013 by Hyundai's brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan.
