Singer Adam Levine, who is expecting his first child with wife Behati Prinsloo, says he is "ready" to be a father.
The 37-year-old cannot wait to be a father because he believes parenthood is what everyone was "born" to be, reports etonline.com.
"I'm ready to be a dad," Levine said.
"You're born to be a parent, that's what we're here for, really. All the other s*** is great, but it's not what we're here for," the Maroon 5 frontman added.
Levine, who married Prinsloo in 2014, has been bombarded with advice on what to do in preparation for their first-born, but the couple intend to do it their own way.
"When you are doing this for the first time, everybody loves to tell you what you should be doing. So, we're kind of tuning a lot of it out and we're just going to do it how we do it," he said.
