The IACC signed an agreement here on Friday with the business chamber Greater Houston Partnership (GHP), and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH) to exchange trade, market and economy information to explore partnership possibilities in Houston and India.
The signatories "have also agreed to promote trade and industrial missions in both the Houston region and India to establish joint-ventures, organise meetings and seminars to inform business people about potential investments, joint-ventures and advantageous trade opportunities for all parties", the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) said in a statement.
IACC president Asoke K.Laha described the agreement as a "building block of the emergent strategic partnership between India and the US".
Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's successful US visit last year, the IACC had organised a two-day Indo-US economic summit here in October attended by key policy makers and corporate leaders representing Indian and American companies.
