The Indian Air Force is on a trajectory of modernisation and is transforming into a strategic aerospace power with full spectrum capability, a senior officer said on Friday.
Eastern Air Command chief, Air Marshal C Hari Kumar made the observation during a two-day visit to the Kalaikunda Air Force station that began on Thursday.
Addressing station personnel, he urged them to display exemplary dedication in pursuit of excellence.
During the visit, he also reviewed various measures being undertaken by the station towards operational capability enhancement, a defence ministry spokesman said.
