British actor Ian McShane will appear on the upcoming sixth season of US fantasy TV show "Game of Thrones".
Details on McShane's role are being kept under wraps but he will play a key role in the season's plot with a small amount of screen time, reports ew.com.
Production on season six of "Game of Thrones" has commenced, with the 10 episodes expected to air in the spring of 2016.
McShane came into limelight by playing a homicidal frontier kingpin Al Swearengen on "Deadwood", then had roles in films like "Kung Fu Panda", "Sexy Beast", "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and "John Wick".
