The simple idli seems to be powering the factory rolling out cars for global car makers Renault and Nissan in Tamil Nadu.
According to a display board at the factory, around 28 crore idlis were consumed by its 8,650 workers. No time period was provided for the idli consumption.
The 400,000 units plant is located at Oragadam, around 50 km from here. It started production in 2010.
