India will be the partner country this year in Russia's biggest manufacturing exposition, Innoprom, with Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman leading the delegation to the event, an official statement said on Friday.
The four-day exposition, beginning on Monday, will be held in the Russian city of Ekaterinburg, said the statement here by the commerce ministry.
The minister "is leading the delegation of over 110 Indian companies that will showcase India's engineering prowess at the Russian engineering and technology event under the Brand India Engineering campaign," it said.
Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh will showcase their strengths at Innoprom.
"Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje are leading the respective state delegations," the statement added.
"Historically, Russia and India have enjoyed long-standing cultural and strategic ties. India's partnership at Innoprom provides a significant opportunity to sustain, expand and further develop the privileged strategic partnership between the two countries," the statement said citing Sitharaman.

India and Russia have set the goal of boosting bilateral trade to $30 billion and mutual investment to $15 billion by 2025.
