Indian and Russian armies would be conducting a two-week 'INDRA-2015 joint military exercise in Rajasthan's Bikaner district, over 350 km from here, from November 7 with a focus on "counter terrorism operations in the backdrop of desert terrain under a United Nations Mandate.
"A 250 member strong Russian army contingent would arrive in Bikaner for the joint exercise to be held from November 7 to November 20", a defence ministry press release issued here on Thursday said.
INDRA-2015 is the seventh edition in a series of bilateral exercises and would also focus on ensuring a high degree of physical fitness, tactical drills, techniques and procedures.
The exercise, which would be conducted in two phases - combat conditioning/tactical training and validation would be witnessed by senior Indian and Russian generals.
