An Indian has been arrested for killing his countryman in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah.
Police arrested the alleged murderer within 24 hours after a charred body had been found on the terrace of a building in Kandra district of the city Tuesday, the Arab News reported Saturday.
Police said that the accused has confessed to the crime.
The suspect and the victim worked in different places.
He had lured the victim to his residential building, where he then killed him.
According to his confession, he beat the victim to death with an iron rod, repeatedly hitting him on the head.
The suspect, after killing the victim, took the body from his room to the building's terrace and set it on fire.
He also confessed that they had an old dispute and fought over it earlier on the day of the crime.
