An Indian national has been arrested on suspicion of circulating child pornography in the UAE, a media report said Thursday.
According to The National newspaper, the man was using peer to peer (P2P) software, through which users can communicate with each other, to spread pornography featuring children.
On a tip-off, police raided the Indian's home in in Sharjah on Wednesday and arrested him.
The man's computer was confiscated and was found to contain pornographic images of children.
The man, who was not identified, confessed to his crimes and has been referred to the prosecutors, the daily said.
