Aiming to establish a professional platform where culinary professionals could display their individual and combined skills, and creative talent, the Indian Culinary Forum honoured the chefs at the 12th Culinary Art India.
Organised at the Pragati Maidan in the capital, the event saw more than 300 chefs, including 14 entries from southern India, participating and showcasing the best of their skills and talent in cooking and display of culinary expertise.
The event was specially created to recognise the excellence of culinary skills in India and saw many renowned chefs from the culinary fraternity attending the event.
"ICF will constantly thrive to bring our fraternity closer and continue our commitment to encourage the betterment of the culinary profession in setting new benchmarks in the hospitality industry," Chef Davinder Kumar, President, Indian Culinary Forum said during the event.
Arun Kumar Sharma (Radisson Blu, Dwarka) claimed the award for best pastry show piece and Chef Inderpal Singh (The Imperial Hotel) for best artistic bakery show piece.
Jitender (The Ashok) was given the best award for the Fruit & Vegetable Carving category while Nitesh (Hotel Le Meridien), Rakesh Kumar Dubey (Radisson Blu Dwarka) and Naresh Kumar (Sanjeev Kapoor Restaurant Private Limited) were given the best plated appetizers award.

Ramesh Ranwar (The Royal Plaza) claimed the award for best three-tier wedding cake while the award for petit fours and pralines went to Avneet Kaur (Cook and Bake Academy).
Varun Chauhan (Hotel Le Meridien) was given the award for three course set dinner menu and Avinash (Hotel Le Meridien), Sagrika Kochar (Cook and Bake Academy) and Akash Khandelwal (ITC Maurya) took the award for best dessert category.
The award for the best authentic Indian regional cuisine went to T. Ramakrishnan (The Royal Plaza) while Jiwan Bhujel (Double Tree By Hilton) was cited for the best contemporary sushi platter.
Anand Singh Bisht (Trident Gurgaon) and Gaurav Maity (Oberoi Hotel) swept the awards in the best live cooking category while Shyam Sunder A B (IICA, Hauz Khas) got the nod as enthusiastic hobby cook.
The award for the best chocolate mania category went to Kheemanand Fulara (Radisson Blu Dwarka) while Surbhy Rauniyar (The Hampstead Cake Studio). Hari (Crowne Plaza Rohini), Karan Dilsher Dhaliwal (IHM, Pusa) and Kuber (Crowne Plaza Rohini) received the award for best mocktails.
