The Indonesian government has set a three-gold target for the men's short distance races at the SEA Games in Malaysia next year, a coach has disclosed.
Eni Nuraini, coach of the men runners, said here on Wednesday that she expects the gold medals to be secured from the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay races, reports Xinhua.
She said Indonesia would send five runners to compete in the regional event in the neighbouring country scheduled to be held from August 19-31.
Currently 10 athletes were conducting intensive training in West Java province near Jakarta and half of them will be selected a month prior to the event, Nuraini added.
Indonesia only took silver medals in sprint race at the Sea Games 2015 held in Singapore.
