French striker Karim Benzema is in doubt for Real Madrid's Champions League away match with Paris Saint-Germain in two weeks after pulling out of the French squad due to a hamstring problem.
The 27-year-old picked up the injury in his national side's 4-0 victory over Armenia on Thursday when he scored twice at Nice's Allianz Riviera.
A scan showed that Benzema had damaged the muscle in his left leg and the French federation said he would be unable to participate in Sunday's friendly against Denmark, Xinhua reported on Friday.
No confirmed information has been released about how long the French forward to be sidelined, but local media suspected a three-week absence.
That means Benzema could miss Real's La Liga games at home hosting Levante and away to Celta Vigo, as well as the Group A match against PSG on 21 October in Paris' Parc des Princes.
Real and PSG are now joint top of Group A on six points, ahead of Swede side Malmo and Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk.
