A sweet shop worker, who was shot by a private security guard, succumbed to his injuries during treatment in a government hospital here Wednesday, police said.
Satendra Singh, 35, was shot at by Neeraj, 26, a security guard with a cash management firm following an argument that triggered due to delay in delivering a dish.
Police also said an adverse comment by the worker about the guard's home state of Bihar made the latter furious and he opened fire.
Singh died during treatment in Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital at noon Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred in the Gole Market area of central Delhi Tuesday night.
They added the duo had engaged in a scuffle before the firing. Neeraj was arrested from the spot and the weapon seized.
