Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has promised to bring his newly-acquired Italian football club back to the top in 2-3 years.
The Indonesian tycoon sent a video message to fans following Inter's defeat to Lazio in the Serie A and to Udinese in Coppa Italia, reports Xinhua.
"It's normal to feel disappointed as a fan when you lose two games, so am I. I believe this team has good prospects but we need to find the right balance. We're looking at a few players, negotiations are on-going and we'll try very hard to get them," said Thohir.
"The plans of rebuilding the team will take 2-3 years so we are now in a period of transition. I think we'll do better this season than last and we'll try to keep performing better."
Thohir lent support to Inter head coach Walter Mazzarri despite his side's disappointing performance. "Walter Mazzarri is the perfect coach for Inter right now. We trust each other."
