The Iranian government will spare no efforts to bring justice to anyone responsible for the recent "gruesome" acid attacks on women in the central city of Isfahan, the media quoted President Hassan Rouhani as saying Monday.
The perpetrators of the crime will be granted "no clemency", Rouhani said, adding that "tThose who have committed this crime will face the maximum penalty".
The Iranian president has already assigned interior, intelligence, and justice ministers with the mission of probing into cases, Xinhua reported citing Tasnim news agency.
Earlier, reports about several cases of acid attacks on young women in Isfahan caused concern among Iranian people.
