Actor Irrfan Khan visited the sets of the television serial "Chidiya Ghar" and shot for an episode to promote his upcoming film "Madaari".
In the episode, Irrfan enters on a cycle-rickshaw, while keeping with the current spell of monsoon, he, along with all the characters were seen holding umbrellas. It seems that Irrfan enacted a part similar to the role he is actually playing in the film, as he was seen like a "madaari" holding his "damroo" and waving it at the characters of the serial.
Some of the actors present for the episode were Aditi Sajwan, Sumit Arora, Saaransh Verma, Paresh Ganatra, among others. The serial airs on Sab TV.
The song "Dama Dama Dam" from the film, also refers to the sound that the 'damroo' makes when the 'madaari' plays it.
The story of "Madaari" revolves around Irrfan's character, who abducts the home minister's son, against the backdrop of the loss of his own son, while the authorities led by Jimmy Sheirgill's character trying to get hold of him.
The film earlier slated to release on June 10, is now gearing up for release on July 15. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, it has Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar as one of the producers.
