The Islamic State (IS) militants launched attacks on Sidra oil-port in Libya, killing one army soldier and injuring two, a military source said.
"The army guarding the gate engaged with the militants and killed four, among them some African nationals, before the militants attempted to detonate a truck bomb," Xinhua quoted Ali al-Hasi, spokesman for the oil facilities guards, as saying on Friday.
Sidra is Libya's largest oil port, which was shut down in December 2014 due to armed clashes near the facilities.
