Mobile phone services will be suspended in Pakistan's capital city of Islamabad on Friday when the nation celebrates its Independence Day, the media reported on Thursday.
According to the interior ministry, the services will remain suspended from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., Geo News reported.
The suspension is part of security measures for Independence Day celebrations planned in the capital city, the ministry said.
Earlier on Thursday, mobile phone services were suspended in Islamabad due to the ongoing rehearsals for Independence Day celebrations.
It was resumed after 12.30 p.m.
