Unlike other weekends, this Friday will witness unique genres at the box office. Rohit Khaitan's "Prague", a psychological drama, will compete with Anubhav Sinha's "Warning", which has been described as a survival film.
Then there are "Super Model" and "Maazii".
"All the films releasing this time are small to medium budget films. The number of screens per film won't be more than 500-600. Also, the budget will range from Rs.8 to Rs.10 crore, with 'Super Model' being less than that and 'Warning' crossing that," trade analyst Komal Nahta told IANS.
After the release date of "Prague" was shifted thrice, it will finally see the light of day this weekend. The film revolves around the lives of architects and their paranormal experiences as they set out to explore Prague.
"The film has been made on an approximate budget of Rs.6 to Rs.6.5 crore which includes publicity and marketing. We cannot reveal the number of screens as of now but it will see a decent release all over India," producer Rohit Khaitan told IANS.
Shot in 3D, "Warning" also seems to be an equally good option for the viewers. Produced by Sinha, it stars young actors Santosh Barmola, Suzana Rodrigues, Varun Sharma, Manjari Phadnis, Jitin Gulati, Sumit Suri and Madhurima Tulii.
