Jaiprakash Power Ventures on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs.64.94 crore for the first quarter (Q1) of the current fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs.69.15 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
According to the company, the results under review are are not comparable with figures of the corresponding quarter as it includes Jaypee Nigrie cement grinding unit which commenced operations from June 3, 2015.
The firm's total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs.1,269.48 crore from Rs.798.16 crore for the corresponding period of 2014-15.
The company's scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) grew by 19.64 percent to Rs.8.04 from its previous close of Rs.6.72 per equity share.
