Jaipur is all set to host the 8th edition of the international stone industry exhibition, India StoneMart 2015 - the biggest in the sector in India.
Scheduled to be held from Jan 29 to Feb 1, the event, being organized by the Centre for Development of Stones (CDoS) with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) as co-organiser and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) as the principal sponsor, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
"India Stonemart 2015, one of the largest international expositions on stone industry, will comprehensively showcase the wide variety of natural dimensional stones, ancillary products and the services provided," CDOS vice-chairman Ashok Dhoot said at a press conference here.
He said the event will bring together various stakeholders of the stone industry - domestic and overseas producers, exporters, importers, consumers and buyers, experts, technology providers, architects, builders, developers, corporates, among others.
The exhibition will have 17,000 square metre area out of which 10,000 will be the indoor exhibition space and rest for outdoor exhibition. Buyers from over 50 countries are expected to visit the fair.
Confirmation for international participation has already been received from countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Spain, Macedonia, Russia, China, Turkey, Egypt, Korea and Italy, among others. In fact, Turkey, China, Afghanistan and Italy will also be setting up their pavilions. tone industry event.
As in the past there will be a number of states will be setting-up their pavilions at the mart. Among them are Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha. With over 400 exhibitors the event will be witnessing proactive networking as well as trade.

For the first time in the India Stonemart, a three-day Jaipur Architecture Festival (JAF) will be organized alongside.
