Singer Rita Ora has been countersued for 2.4 million by rapper Jay-Z's label Roc Nation, after she sued his company back in December last year.

Ora had claimed that the label neglected her and demanded to be released from her contract.

Ora was signed to Roc Nation in 2008 when she was an "unknown" singer. She was supposed to deliver five albums under the label, but she has so far dropped only one, 2012's "Ora".

She had recorded new material for a follow-up record, but the label had not released it yet as they continued to focus on their sports division, Ora said in her suit.

Contrary to her claims, Roc Nation states in their own suit that they have invested more than $2 million to promote her second album, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"(Roc Nation) has tirelessly promoted (her) career, investing millions of dollars in marketing, recording and other costs, which was instrumental in guiding Ora to her current level of success and fame," read the legal documents.
