Actor Jayam Ravi will begin work on Rs 150 crore Tamil historic drama "Sanghamitra" later this year. He says the project will require him to learn horse riding and sword fighting.
"This film is going to involve a lot of hard work, and it will require me to train in horse riding and sword fighting. I've lost a lot of weight for 'Vanamagan' as I was required to look very lean. I need to gain all that weight and add a few more kilos to look like a warrior in Sanghamitra'," Ravi told IANS.
To be helmed by Sundar C, the project will also star Arya and Shruti Haasan.
Having recently completed shooting for "Vanamagan", in which he plays a tribal character, Ravi has started shooting for "Tik Tik Tik", Tamil cinema's first space thriller.
"It's a very ambitious project. We've built four space sets in EVP World. As a subject, it will largely appeal to kids apart from regular audiences," he said.
The project also marks the acting debut of Ravi's son Aarav.

"He seems interested in acting and enjoys being on sets, but this will be a one-off film. He's too young to divert his attention from studies," Ravi, a doting father, said.
Ravi also confirmed that a sequel to last year's "Miruthan", a zombie thriller, is on the cards.
"'Miruthan' couldn't impress all sections of the audience, especially children and that didn't work in our favour. Hence, we are planning to make 'Miruthan 2' as a superhero franchise so the film becomes kids-friendly. The project will kick-off after we complete 'Tik Tik Tik'," he said.
