Janata Dal-United MLA Satish Kumar, who defeated former Bihar chief minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi in assembly polls, on Saturday joined the BJP after he was denied a party ticket.
Kumar, who represents Raghopur constituency in Bihar, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party headquarters at a press conference here in the presence of BJP general secretary Arun Singh and national secretary Srikant Sharma.
He was denied a ticket as Tejaswi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad, is set to make his electoral debut from Raghopur assembly constituency.
