The Janata Dal-United (JD-U) has urged Bihar Assembly Speaker Awadesh Narain Singh to terminate the membership of its three party legislators for indulging in anti party activities during the ongoing five-phased state polls.

The legislators are Narender Singh, Mahachander Singh and Samrat Choudhary.

Senior JD-U leader and party chief whip in the legislative council Sanjay Gandhi said the party has approached the Speaker to teriminate the membership of three legislators.

The three leaders are known as rebel JD-U legislators since early this year when they joined former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who formed Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), now a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.

Mahachander Singh, former minister, is contesting assembly polls from Hathua assembly seat in Gopalganj district as HAM candidate.

The two Others have vigorously campaigned against the grand alliance of JD-U, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress in the ngoing campaign for the state assembly polls.
