The second edition of the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival will once again bring performers of these unique art forms together at the Mehrangarh Fort here April 3 to 5.
The two-day festival will bring together world renowned musicians playing a wide variety of music and showcasing the evolution of the Flamenco and Gypsy tradition.
A statement from the organisers of the festival read: "This year, myriad of performers will showcase the evolution of Flamenco and Gypsy tradition, and will also play new and progressive music written in collaboration especially for the Festival.
"This synthesis of Flamenco and Rajasthani music honours the gypsy history of the region while breaking musical boundaries, thus creating an exciting and unique musical festival that adds to the progression of the gypsy tradition."
The first edition of the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival had artists performing only from Spain, while the second edition will feature artists from Spain, Italy and Turkey. These will include Chano Dominguez, Javier Colina, Daniel Navarro, Karen Lugo and Augustin Carbonell "Bola" among others.
The unique musical festival aims to add to the progression of the gypsy tradition.
