A Delhi court Monday sent three close aides of LeT bomb expert Abdul Karim Tunda to judicial custody till Oct 28 in a case lodged against them for allegedly helping in infiltration of Pakistani and Bangladeshi militants into India in 1997.

Allauddin, Mohd Basiruddin and Mohammad Zakaria were produced in the court after the expiry of their judicial custody.

Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash extended by 14 days the judicial custody of the three accused after the special cell of the Delhi Police asked for their custody to be extended as the probe into the case was going on.

Police said the trio was accused of helping Pakistani and Bangladeshi infiltrators and were allegedly involved in terror strikes in India in 1997.

The police had claimed that Allauddin and Basiruddin had met Tunda in 1994 through Tunda's father-in-law Zakaria before joining banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Tunda is one of the 20 terrorists whom India wanted the Pakistan government to hand over after the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

The three accused, who were lodged in separate jails in West Bengal in connection with cases lodged there, were produced before the court here after issuance of production warrants against them.
