The ticket sales for the junior men's hockey World Cup to be held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here from Dec 6-15 have begun.
The tickets can be booked online at www.ticketgenie.in. To entice spectators, the cheapest ticket has been priced at Rs.50. The Rs.50 tickets will be for general admission while the Rs.1000 ones are for VIP seating.
Each ticket entitles the spectator to watch all matches being held in a single day. The stadium has the capacity of 16,000.
All India matches have been scheduled at 8 p.m. during the pool stage. The 10-day event will feature 16 teams fighting for the title, playing 44 matches in total.
The tournament has four pools of four teams each followed by quarterfinals, semifinals, classification and medal matches.
Pool A will feature Germany, Pakistan, Belgium and Egypt while Australia, Spain, Argentina and France are competing in Pool B. India is in Pool C with the Netherlands, Korea and Canada while Pool D has England, New Zealand, South Africa and Malaysia.
India start its campaign on the opening day against the Netherlands (Dec 6), followed by matches against Canada (Dec 7) and Korea (Dec 10).
